Your health is our priority. We have implemented new policies, workflows, and procedures to ensure we minimize exposure for both patients and staff.

To protect staff and patients, we implemented the following:
Call First Campaign – call first if you have any COVID symptoms

If you think you may have COVID, do not go directly to the ER, hospital or doctor’s office. Call first. Our healthcare providers will evaluate your symptoms and explain your best course of action. Calling ahead not only helps you, it prevents the spread and protects our community’s elderly and most vulnerable.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call 520-387-5651 

  • Fever of 100.4° or more 
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath 
Limited Visitor Policy – limiting visits to yourself, minor children may go with one parent or guardian 

All visitors will be get their temperature screened at entrances. 

Visitors will be limited to the following:

  • Essential visitors only
  • Maximum of one (1) visitor per patient
  • No visitor under the age of 14
  • Visitors wishing to wait for patients are advised to do so in their personal vehicle

COVID-19 Vaccination

Ajo Location 

For up-to-date information on the COVID vaccine, please follow us on Facebook or check here for updates. We are receiving our vaccines and following the distribution guidelines from Pima County.

For community members living in the Ajo, Why, and Lukeville area, we are currently vaccinating the following age groups:

– People age 12 and older

For community members who are homebound, please call us to be placed on our Homebound Roster to receive the vaccine at your home.  See flyer for more information. 

For American Citizens living in Mexico without history at DSCHC are eligible with proof of citizenship. For proof of citizenship, please bring your Passport or Birth Certificate.
